Love is the journey,
our wedding is the next stop!
But don't worry, all roads lead to Villa Sermolli...
So why this location?
Once upon a time, in the summer of 2018, we went on a road trip together in a 1997 MG F 1.8.
The Tuscan hills simply had to be on the itinerary, and Villa Sermolli became our home for three unforgettable nights. We instantly fell in love with the surroundings - the views, the atmosphere, and of course the Italian way of life. With delicious food, sunny days, and a little limoncello in the mix, we suddenly looked at each other and said: “How amazing would it be to get married here one day?”
And here we are… making that dream come true in the very place where it all began.

Our MG F graciously parked on the Villa Sermolli parking lot.

History & nature
A bit of history about our venue…
Villa Sermolli has a rich history dating back to 1602, when it was acquired by the noble Sermolli family. Over the centuries, the elegance of the villa has been carefully preserved. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the aristocratic charm of its past owners in every detail.
Wander through the frescoed rooms and you’ll sense a refined blend of historic character and contemporary style. Set within the medieval village of Buggiano Castello, the villa feels like a beautiful journey back in time - where tradition, charm, and Italian authenticity meet.
We would truly love for you to stay here with us and experience it for yourself. If you’re planning to extend your stay, just let us know - we’re happy to arrange special discounted rates for your booking.
When booking, please use the discount code: MD2026.

restaurant
We will only make use of this resto for the breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. For the full program click here.
Panoramic Terrace & barOque garden
We'll have the main dinner in the Barroque garden on Saturday, which is the cosiest surrounding of the hotel - so we think! The panoramic terrace will be used for the welcome party (Friday eve), appertitivo (Saturday after Church) and the breakfast as well.
Limonaia
This charming indoor space is located right next to the Baroque Garden, where our Saturday evening celebration will continue after dinner. It’s cozy, elegant and offers the perfect backup plan - just in case the weather doesn’t cooperate (though we’re crossing our fingers it will!).

Tastefully styled with antique furniture, frescoed ceilings (only in Italy, right?) and with all creature comforts as air conditioning and flat-screen TVs. As expected of course.

Nothing screams more romantic culture or "la dolce vita" than the capital of the Tuscan region: Florence (Firenze as the Italians say).
If you decide to come a few days earlier (or stay a bit longer) be sure to check out this wonderful city. Its one of our favorite cities anywhere!

Last time we were here was also in 2018 during our "Italian roadtrip".
Lucca

Lucca is another gem in the Tuscan landscape that is drenched with history! A little smaller than Florence, this equally well preserved. In short: Anyone looking to visit a quintessential medieval Italian town will love Lucca.
